I Hope They Dance

October 14th is just a few days away. Family and friends will be arriving this week. Sarah is already here, with wedding dress and a glowing smile. Conor will be flying in from Colorado on Tuesday, landing around 2:30 pm. If we make it from Logan Airport to the Hamilton Town Hall before closing time, they will get their wedding license just by the deadline of four days prior to wedding. We try not to sweat the small stuff !!!

Mid October was always a risk for an outdoor ceremony, but exchanging vows in view of the sea was always the dream . The day will be spectacular. That's how dreams turn out.

Lynch Park, along the North Shore of Boston ... The wedding site.

The final selection for mother/groom dance will be: I hope you dance .

"MY" dream for Conor and Sarah will always be: If they have the chance to sit it out or dance, I hope they always choose to dance.

That is such a perfect song for a mother/son dance, and the location is wonderful. I know it will be a fantastic wedding.

I think that it will a fabulous, clear, crisp day, with the ocean shimmering under the afternoon sun.

(My recent purchase of polypropylene foul weather gear is just a coincidence. Really)

Wonderful song to share and what a great moment it will be. The day will be lovely no matter the weather! Sarah and I have been having fun doing some of the "little things" for the wedding and I am thankful for having those "moments" with her! I know you will be having some of those fun times with her over the next few days too, enjoy! Great wish for them and I believe Sarah and Conor will always chose to dance.

Joanie (M.O.B.? - mother of the bride - how neat to be able to write that!!)

p.s. You have a gift for writing, Kathy! The site is wonderful. I am enjoying reading it. I see where Conor comes by his talent for writing.

LOLOL as long as Paul buys FWG for the entire wedding party, the day will be absolutely splendid.

What a magnificent site for a wedding. You are about to have such an amazing week.

Although I live in Boston, I am not familiar with the site of the wedding, but I wish you the best autumn weather (something like the weekend we just had!).

Tell Waterboy to leave his foul weather gear home. My son and his absolutely lovely heartthrob, (aka Sara) both live in Boston. This past weekend they went to a wedding in Newport on Saturday and another in Kennebunkport on Sunday. All the bridesmaids (in Maine and R.I.) wore strapless gowns as they lined up along some incredible looking waterway with a lighthouse on site. I didn't see any nipples showing in the photos Sara sent me, and believe me, I was looking. I'm probably going to post some of the pictures in my blog if I can ever get my freakin' DSL working again.

In short, I'm sure that your son will have an exceptional wedding day because I wasn't born in October for nothing!

Oh BTW, pleased to make your acquaintance. I think you must be Waterboy's ladyfriend. I found you over in his sidebar and put 2 and 2 together. Paul's such a cool guy, in spite of the JIMONGOUS ego, etc. I'm so glad you both found each other because based on what I've read in your blog, you seem to be as wonderful as the picture he has painted of you!

Good luck this weekend! (PS: My oldest son was supposed to get married to Nancy Grace, Jr. last weekend. He called off the wedding 6 weeks ago. I am still praising God and all the other Catholic saints and such...)

Well, having seen Conor's moves on the dance floor at the reception, I'd say they're off to a good start.
